Grey Wallpapers Under $100

Deciding to wallpaper something whether it's furniture, an accent wall, or a whole room can be a daunting challenge. Before you prep a wall or hang that first piece, you must first decide on the wallpaper- a task that can be costly depending on sample prices and the number of samples you order a well as frustrating because of selection of wallpaper available for purchase.

Of course, there is the budget too.

Here are 20 grey wallpapers, all hip, all costing under $100. Happy wallpapering.

More Pottery Barn Outlet Goodies!

Copper Cord Set, Retail $49, Outlet $19.99
This time I did not pass up the lovely copper cord set.  It will find it's way into the computer room in the near future.  In addition I also purchased Pottery Barn Tab Top curtains for my master bedroom.  I was sick of the ultra sheer ones I had purchased from Target.  Although they are not black-out curtains, they do a pretty reasonable job with the blinds.  The neighbor's porch light did not keep me awake.  Plus at $35 each, I feel as if I am getting my money's worth.

What did I have to pass up this time around?  Well for starters they had three West Elm Elton Setees in the color Pine Needle.  They were less than $400 each and I have no room in my dining room.

West Elm Elton Setee
There were also plenty of the industrial white glass pendants from West Elm.  I didn't check prices because I am out of lighting space in my house but I can promise you they were cheaper than original price and they had a TON of them.

West Elm Mini Industrial Glass Pendant Bowl

And last but not least, there were also three of these little yellow chairs from West Elm. They were marked at $289 each and I hope someone took them home. If I had true white walls in my house, I know I sure as heck would have.

West Elm Oliver Chair
So that is that for my great finds at the Pottery Barn/ West Elm Outlet store. Of course there is more, so much more. The store is located in San Marcos, TX. I recommend you always get there right as the store opens to score a shopping cart and a good place in lie because it gets packed.  As for me, I am done with the outlet mall for a while, I can not keep shoveling crap into my house.

Found something good at an outlet mall?  Share it please- I love a good deal!

Pottery Barn Outlet Store Finds

This past weekend was great.  Did everything I wanted and more.  This includes going to one of my most favorite of all places, the Pottery Barn factory store which includes PB Teen, PB Kids, Williams Sonoma, Williams Sonoma Home and West Elm.  It's a very happy places with deals and not so great deals.  The big find of the day was my new rug.  Wanted an 8 x 10 in a natural color, brought one home.
Mini Pebble Wool/ Jute Rug
This handsome devil of a rug costs $599 new at West Elm.  I took it home this weekend for roughly 46% off.  It now lives happily in my living room for less than $300.
Square Lacquered Tray
I did not get to bring home the gold version of this one.  Yes, they had one but it was also dinged up pretty good.  Instead I brought home the navy blue version.  Retailed for $29, I paid $17.  There we other items I found in the store but did not bring home due to the fact that I own too much crap.
Mia Table Lamp, Retail $129, Outlet $79.99
Copper Cord Set, Retail $49, Outlet $19.99
Mid-Century Nightstand, Retail $299, Outlet $199
Angled-Base Coffee Table, Retail $499, Outlet $299
The above I would consider to be details.  Substantial savings, enough to make you wait in line.  The following item, not so much a deal.  Saving $7 and waiting in line for 30 minutes does not make sense.
84" White Cotton Canvas Panels, Retail $29, Outlet $22.99
Last but not least there were four of these babies.  Andy did not think they were comfortable and I thought the same but more or less had a hard time passing up some eye-candy.  They all stayed there at the store for someone else to love one day.  If you live near San Marcos Outlet, please go rescue one.
West Elm Leather Sling Chair, Retail ??, Outlet $449

Time Warp- It's Saturday?

Whew!  I know right?  I do not know about you guys but I have been BUSY.  Christmas shopping, in-laws, finals, work and home stuff.  My plate has been full which tends to be the holiday standard.  I can not remember if I have mentioned that we have put off listing the house at least until the beginning of next year.  There is just too much happening and not enough time in one day.

House & decorating wise?  Well, the bedroom is looking great.  Just a few more touches and you can stick a fork in it.  The dining room is also just about there.  I am just having a tough time finding table linens and figuring out what to hang on the wall above the front door bench.  I returned the IKEA Docksta table that was meant for the breakfast nook and have no found anything since.  So there's that and the french doors still in my garage.  My father in-law thinks they will work but he needs his tools.  Hopefully next time.

No Christmas decor this year except for the pallet tree again.  Originally, I did not feel like bringing it down since we were going to list the house.  Now I am just too lazy to bring it down.  No one will be stopping buy our house so really there is no point to make it all pretty if there is no one coming over.

So what is trending in my mind lately?  Colorful canopy beds.  There are so many options.  You do not have to be stuck with oak, white or blackish gray metal.  Alternatively, if you have some cash to spend Room & Board offers the customizable Architecture Bed in a variety of colors and sizes. All of which can be delivered to your door step if you have the cashola.  I say go find a cheap one at a resale shop and make it your own.  If you can not go that route, go to overstock.com, buy this bed, get some spray paint and call it a day until you find an Ikea Edland somewhere on Craiglist.

Faux Fur Throw- Mongolian Lamb via West Elm
1. Went to West Elm on Friday & fell in love with the faux fur throwsTarget has a more affordable option which isn't exactly lamb fur but will for-fill your needs if $119 to over $2K is a little much.
2.  I am loving Scandinavian Christmas decor this year.  IKEA of course has a cute selection and Himmeli has taken over the DIY world.  Dalahorses are also on the LOVE list this Christmas too.
3. Advent Calenders.  Who doesn't love all the new way people are creating advent calenders.  This mirrored grey one from Target is cool, modern and affordable.

I Want to Say I Do To This IKEA Ranarp Lamp

This lamp looks really ridiculously good in person. I saw it the other day amidst a massive overhaul at my IKEA. The cord is fabulous. The lamp is a pretty large size and I just love the white and brass. Hands down, it's one of the better looking lamps IKEA has released.

Dark Pink Curtain, thedecorista.com

1. I am loving pink curtains right now. IKEA has the Aina panels which are totally affordable for a light pink. Land of Nod has cute color blocked curtains for a more tailored look.  And then there are these ruffled pink curtains at Target if you are looking to make a statement.
2. I freaking love these Numi candle holders from CB2.  A mass collection of the on a mantel or a table would look great year round, it's just the aspect of glass weighing me down.
3. I love/ hate craigslist.org.  Look at this freaking headboard I found in Tampa, Florida- it's to freaking die for and so far away.

Time Warp- It's Saturday?

One thing is for sure, you can tell I've been busy at work & at school.  It was sort of planned so today I would not be busy at all.  I plan to paint my nookway and finish that up.  It's going to be the same color as my living room.  I think it might also need something else besides the little shelf I had sanded down a couple of weeks ago.  I don't think it does to the space what I want it to do in the small space.  Maybe a half table, yes a forest green half table.

Time Warp- It's Saturday?

Last night was all about Red Baron pizza and my Communications Theory paper.  Thursday night was the same and if I were a betting woman, which I occasionally am, the majority of today will be spent on a paper and laundry.  While I do not have many followers, for the two who actually take a moment in their week to read my blog, stick with me dudes!  It won't be like the forever.

In other news, I did not win in my category in the Apartment Therapy Room for Color contest.  First place had like 300 something votes, I made around 80ish.  The strange thing is, last year I had more votes but I believe this year my living room looks amazing. That's the important point though, that I freaking love that space.  So, maybe next year Apartment Therapy?

For the past two days I've been a little obsessed with lucite.  Just look at this vintage luctire towel bar from Eastonandbelt on Etsy.  $85
Vintage Lucite Towel Bar

Or there is LuxHoldUps on Etsy that will custom make your lucite towel bar. And you get to decide whether you want polished brass of stainless.  They also sell curtain rods & finials.  All of it amazing and something I need to own one day.  $52 and up.

Mid Week Update

Wow, school dudes.  Papers, tests, studying, memorizing, note taking, on and on.  I am freaking tired.  Normally at this point I would be looking to the weekend for relief from the daily grind.  Nope, not this weekend.  This weekend I am finishing up a paper for my Communications Theory class.  Exciting right?  In theory.

It's important that I get this paper done before Sunday so I can start studying for a test next Saturday that I need to be prepared for on Friday because guess what folks- it's time for ROUND TOP TIME!

This year, the top of my list includes a round breakfast nook table.  My wonderful mother-in-law has decided to give me antique industrial bistro chairs that belonged to her grandma.  Uber awesome right? So I need to get rid of the pub table and find something these 5 chairs can anchor to.  Currently they are painted a blue shade from what I remember, but I am thinking multicolored is the way to go.
